Meet the Team

Robert “Bob” McMinn, DDS

Orthodontist, Part-Time

The best part of my profession is the interaction with our patients and their parents. I love coming into the practice, meeting new people and catching-up with our established patients. We are able to create beautiful smiles for our patients; those smiles have an incredible impact on a patient’s self-esteem and improves their lives in so many ways. I provide clinical orthodontic treatment, gently shaping a patient’s teeth to create a perfect bite and straight teeth. In my personal life, I have been blessed to have a fantastic wife of 45 years, Carolyn, as well as two beautiful daughters, two amazing sons-in-law, and three spectacular grandchildren! After having a private orthodontics practice in Louisiana for 36 years, and teaching orthodontics in the LSU Department of Orthodontics for 25 years, I retired to the Nashville area to be close to those aforementioned “spectacular grandchildren.” It has been an honor to work in the shadow of Dr. Gary Cohen and an honor that Dr. Fulks has asked for me to work alongside him at this time in my life.

Orthodontic Assistant (RDA)

I love that my job allows me to meet new people and watch our patients’ self-esteem and self-image improve with their straight teeth and beautiful smiles. Being able to help people transform their appearance and their lives is truly an honor, and each day our orthodontic team does just that! My work in our practice involves assisting the doctor in placement, removal, and adjustment of braces. I also am there for growth and development exams, and take X-rays and impressions for diagnostic records, Invisalign®, and Indirect Bonding, as well as sterilize our equipment and treatment areas. Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my two daughters, Natalee and Brylee. They are the lights of my life.

Laboratory Technician

Here, we help people achieve and maintain healthy, stunning smiles. Being a part of that process, as we care for our patients, makes my days rewarding. Our team is wonderful and always focused on our patients, working with them and their individual orthodontic needs in order to create excellent oral health. My duties include fabricating removable and fixed retainers, nightguards, TMD appliances, bleaching trays, and study models. I’ve lived in Hendersonville for the majority of my life and feel very blessed to have been able to work alongside my father, Dr. Gary Cohen, for nine years. I have two sisters, Grace and Kate, and two nephews, Jonah and Stephen.

New Patient Coordinator

Meeting our new families, talking with them about the orthodontic process and how we use only proven, effective, gentle processes to create optimal oral health and beautiful smiles, are what make me happy to come to work each morning. I love getting to know our patients and families, hearing about their interests, sharing stories, and laughing with them. We become real friends. I make sure that everyone feels welcome when they come for their first visit, and spend a lot of time talking about treatment recommendations and financing options. Answering questions is a big part of my day and it’s often the younger patients who ask the most interesting ones! Away from work, you’ll find me spending time with my husband of nine years, Ben, and three sons, Nick, Nate, and Noah. I am very active in my church, with sports activities with my sons, and I love spending time with family and friends.

Orthodontic Assistant (RDA)

Building relationships with our patients and parents, as we care for them, is always my focus. I love that my work allows me to be continually learning new things in the orthodontic field, while, creating healthy bites and straight teeth which changes the lives of our patients for the better. Interacting with our patients, listening to their stories and swapping jokes with them, is wonderful and my day passes quickly. I assist our doctors with placing, removing, and adjusting braces, and growth and development exams. I also take impressions and X-rays for diagnostic records and for Indirect Bonding and Invisalign® processes, and I sterilize equipment and treatment areas. During my time off, I love to read and spend time with my family. My husband Mike and I have been married for 30 years and I have four children. I’m also the Substitute Teaching leader in the Nashville Evening Women’s Bible Study Fellowship class.

Orthodontic Assistant (RDA)

I love seeing our patients so happy with the results of their orthodontic treatment. Their joy, laughter, and smiles are so wonderful! Being able to assist with the placement, adjustment, and removal of braces, and watching the amazing transformation that occurs between the beginning and end, is very rewarding. Here at our practice, in addition to assisting our doctors with the braces, I also am involved with growth and development exams and I sterilize our treatment areas and all the equipment used. Additionally, I take impressions and X-rays for the necessary diagnostic records and for those patients needing Invisalign® and Indirect Bonding treatments. Outside of work, you will most often find me spending time with family and friends. I attend Long Hollow Baptist Church, where I lead a middle school girls small group each week.

Orthodontic Assistant (RDA)

Not only do we change the smiles of our patients, we change their lives! Being there with a patient, as they progress through their orthodontic treatment, and seeing their expression of delight and wonderment the day their braces are removed, is priceless! Because orthodontia takes time, we are allowed to get to know those we care for and we become friends with them. So when they’re thrilled with their new smile, we’re thrilled, too. The focus of my job duties is seeing to the comfort of our patients while I assist our doctors in placing, adjusting, and removing the patient’s braces. I also participate in the growth and development exams and take the necessary X-rays and impressions for those patients who will be receiving Indirect Bonding and Invisalign® treatments, as well as sterilize our tools, treatment areas, and equipment. If I’m not here at work, you’ll likely find me with my son, Rylan, and husband, Daniel. We enjoy going to Vandy football games, attending services and gatherings at Long Hollow Baptist Church, and spending time with loved ones.

Scheduling Coordinator

My focus is always on making sure that our wonderful patients and their families feel welcome and at home while visiting us, and that they know we are here for them. We are a friendly, approachable practice and our team members are willing to go above and beyond to make sure that everyone has a good experience while here. My work revolves around greeting people when they arrive, scheduling appointments, and answering our phones. I also coordinate our study clubs and our office meetings. I keep quite busy, but always have the time for a quick chat to hear about what’s been happening with our patients since their last visit. A native of Maine, my husband of 18 years and three children moved to Tennessee in 2004. We are a family of musicians, with a passion for music, and we love living close to Music City!

Financial Coordinator

I love being able to help our patients and their parents. Not only do our doctors create stunning, healthy smiles, but we figure-out how to make orthodontics affordable for our patients. I work with patients and families to review financial options and create payment plans that work for their budget, making care affordable when the patient needs it most. In our practice, I handle all the financial duties and everything related to insurance, including benefits review, verification, and billing. Away from work, you’ll find me spending time with my wife, Tanna, whom I’ve been married to for 25 years. Our son, Bryan, entered medical school in the fall of 2013. We have no doubt that he’s going to be an incredible physician.

Orthodontic Assistant (RDA)

Our job truly changes lives, and being a part of that process is amazing. I love watching the transformation of our patients, not just in their physical appearance but in their self-esteem and how they move through the world, as their teeth straighten and they begin to see their new smile emerge. A lot of my day is spent working chairside with our doctors, as they see and treat our patients. In addition to providing assistance during growth and development exams, and when braces are place, adjusted, and removed, I also take impressions and X-rays for the all-important diagnostic records and for those patients needing Invisalign® or Indirect Bonding treatments. Additionally, I sterilize treatment areas and our equipment, oversee inventory and supply ordering, and the fabrication of appliances. If I’m not working, you will likely find me traveling with my fiancé, Danny. I love to sing and am known as the office juke box.
