Mark / Financial Coordinator
I have a degree in business administration and finance and joined the SCO team in 2004. I am responsible for the execution and planning of all financial records and accounting principles, and assist in administrative and clerical duties whenever I’m needed. My role allows me to get to know our patients and their families and be a small part of their successful and life-changing orthodontic experience.
SCO is a patient- and family-driven practice. Our team truly desires each person to have an enjoyable and successful orthodontic experience. Our goal is to always place the patient needs first as best as we can.
I have been married to my lovely wife Tanna for 32 years and we have one son, Bryan, who is scheduled to complete is last year of medical residency in the summer of 2020. We are active in our local church and community, and enjoy spending down time with family and friends especially at the beach!
Kandi / Clinical Coordinator / R.D.A.
I graduated from Volunteer State Community College in 1991 and joined the SCO team in 2014. My role here is to make coming to our office a pleasurable and rewarding experience for our patients. I love working alongside a talented and artistic doctor and a group of talented team members who change lives by building self-esteem and creating beautiful smiles on a daily basis.
The compassion Dr. Fulks and the team have for our patients is truly inspiring. Our team has a strong bond and we work together amazingly well. We are all friends inside and outside of the office, which is rare. I can honestly say in my years of experience, this is the best team I’ve ever worked with, hands down!
I’ve been married since 1992. My husband and I are empty nesters with the exception of our two small dogs who we spoil and treat like our babies. I have three adult children and am hoping for grandchildren one day. I take kickboxing and I’ve dabbled in martial arts, and enjoy warm weather to do flower gardening and spend time on the lake and at the pool. Music is a must for me and If you come visit me you will probably find me dancing in my kitchen!
Samantha / New Patient Coordinator / R.D.A.
I completed the dental assistant program at Volunteer State Community College in 1998 and joined SCO in 2016. I work with many of our new patients, but I monitor their progress throughout treatment. I love seeing the joy of our patients when they complete treatment and how they have more confidence and self-esteem instantly. It feels so good to change the lives of our patients!
Dr. Fulks is so knowledgeable, caring, and fun! Our team is like family! We are there for each other in and out of the office!
My husband Jeff and I have been married 22 years. We have two amazing grown children, Brandon and Brittany, and two precious and beautiful granddaughters. In my free time, I enjoy exercise, lifting weights, spending time with family and friends, and spoiling my granddaughters!
Penny / New Patient Coordinator / R.D.A.
I began my career as an RDA in 1994 and started my orthodontic journey at SCO in 2017. I love meeting new people and encouraging them towards success as they begin orthodontic treatment. It’s important that each person we care for knows that not only are they in excellent hands, but that we genuinely want to make their treatment experience positive, so I do my best to make sure that message comes across.
The best part of SCO is that we have a lot of fun while working and everyone truly cares for one another. It’s family!
My husband Patrick and I have one child, RJ. We are a cat family! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family.
Hannah / New Patient Coordinator / R.D.A.
I studied health sciences during my undergrad career, but started my first full- time position at SCO in 2019. I look forward to meeting our New Patients and their families, getting to know them and their orthodontic expectations. It’s a busy job, but I absolutely love what I do! Knowing that I make a difference in someone’s life literally makes my day, every day. That’s the most rewarding part of my job! I love to help people feel better about themselves and follow along on their smile journey!
I truly believe the amount of chairside manner that Dr. Fulks exudes is irreplaceable. Our office motto is “Patients First” and he lives that out every day. It’s something I admire about him, and I think that has definitely rubbed off on each and every staff member we have on our team, as well!
I am a Nashville native. My husband Mitchell and I are expecting our first baby due in July and we couldn’t be more excited! I am a former contestant of the Miss America Organization, and have now taken on the role of Executive Director of the Miss Nashville pageant. My husband and I spend our free time on the lake together in the summer, playing golf, at Preds games, renovating our first home together, and playing with our pet pig, Bentley!
Kathy / Lab Technician / R.D.A.
I went to Vol State and received my RDA in 1991. I worked in orthodontics and endodontics before joining the SCO team in 2014. I enjoy how creative my job allows me to be. It’s a lot of fun to make retainers and other appliances, especially when I get to use the 3D printer! It’s great to know that our patients’ smiles will last as long as they wear the retainer I’ve made!
We have a team here at SCO that cares for our patients as if each one was a member of our own family. We go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure all patients are taken care of.
I have been married to my wonderful husband Michael for 28 years. We have two children, Macey and Ian. We spend as much time together as a family as possible. We especially enjoy camping, canoeing, and hiking.
Janet / Scheduling Coordinator
My job is to help create a wonderful start to a special journey on our patients’ way to a beautiful smile. I am a registered dental assistant with 38 years of experience in general dentistry and orthodontics, and joined SCO in 2017. The best part of my job is getting to know my patients and their families on not just a professional level but personally as well. However, my most favorite part of my job is watching the transformation of our patients. It is like watching a flower bloom! Seeing the confidence that comes with a new beautiful smile is magical.
Dr. Fulks will always be special to me, as I was fortunate to meet and work with him as he was coming out of resident school. To hear him get so excited about having his own orthodontic practice and watching his dream come true has been a blessing for me.
I was born in Donelson, Tennessee, and primarily have lived there my whole life up until about two years ago when I moved to Gallatin. My oldest child is Jessica; she is married to Ben and they have four children. Justin Attkisson is my youngest child and he is married to Anna Catherine. Last but never least is the man who stands by my side, Steve. I am living and loving every day I have with him!
Amanda / Lead Assistant / R.D.A.
I have been a member of Smile Construction Orthodontics since 2002. I love being a part of changing people’s confidence with their smile. With a great smile, it boosts their confidence and personality for the rest of their lives.
I have the privilege of working with the most skilled and passionate doctors in the area, and one of the best teams I have ever worked with. The time they take to listen and address every need for each individual patient and do what is best for everyone shows their level of care.
I live in White House with my husband J.R. and my three daughters, Natalee, Brylee, and Raylee. We also have two dogs, Reese and Texas. We are involved in our church in Gallatin and on any day off you’ll find me hanging with my family because they are the most important people in my life.
Autumn / R.D.A.
I have been a part of Smile Construction Orthodontics since 2016. My favorite part about my job is the different milestones for each patient. Whether it is being able to bond a bracket on a tooth that we’ve been making room to bond, before and after surgery cases, or just simply the big smile at the end of the treatment that makes them never want to stop smiling!
All of our team, including the doctors, is very patient and everyone genuinely cares about each person who walks through our doors. We are like a big family and I love working with our team!
I am married to my husband Darrell. We have one daughter named McKenna and are expecting another little one in June. All throughout school I cheered competitive and with my school! I love the sport of cheerleading, as well as roller-skating, which I’ve done since I was little.
Clara / R.D.A.
I have been in the dental field for 16 years and at Smile Construction Orthodontics for two of those. My favorite part is everything! I love getting to witness the transformation of not only someone’s smile but also their confidence. They come to our office as a person we just met and then leave becoming part of our SCO family!
Everyone at SCO has the same common goal: patients first! We strive not only to want our patients to feel welcome, happy, and respected, but also to feel that way as a team. We all have a great relationship, friendship, and work environment with one another. They are my home away from home.
When I am not at the office, I love spending time with my husband David and our boys Easton and Logan. Being a wife and mother are my greatest accomplishments! In our spare time we like attending sporting events, shopping, vacationing, game nights, spending time with friends and family, and doing as much FUN stuff as possible. We also have two fur babies, Willie and Cooper.
Sarah / R.D.A.
I graduated from Dental Staff School of Tennessee with my RDA license in 2017. Afterward, I joined and was trained by the best here at Smile Construction Orthodontics. Helping people feel confident is the best part of my job. A smile can leave others feeling happy and are more likely to pass on a smile if given one; I love that I can give the confidence of smiling and laughing big!
We wouldn’t be Smile Construction without everyone on our team! I say it almost every day but our team is the best. We don’t just end our talks at work, we get together in the weekends, volunteer together, and help each other through life. We truly are a family!
I live in Hendersonville, TN with my husband Nick and our boys Gavin and Cole. I can’t forget our dog Griffey, who is a chocolate lab/boxer! As a family, we love to do anything outdoors, sports, traveling, and experiencing new things. Life is an adventure!
Jennifer / R.D.A.
I have been working side by side with Dr. Fulks to create beautiful smiles since 2019. I believe in treating each and every person we care for with the kindness and compassion I’d offer a member of my own family. I love seeing the smiles at the end of treatment and how confident our patients are when they leave.
I am so blessed to be a part of such a great team! It’s important that a patient have a good experience at every visit and our team is committed to ensuring that happens. I feel like we are one big family!
I have been married to my husband Jason for eight years. I have a son who is currently in boot camp to become a U.S Marine and a stepdaughter who has a one-year-old and one on the way. We also have two dogs! Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and most things outdoors.
Glenna / Scheduling Coordinator
I became an SCO team member in 2019, and am excited for my first experience working in orthodontics! The best part of my job is seeing the “before and after” with braces. Our patients go through such amazing changes, both with their smile and their self-esteem. I enjoy chatting with our patients and their parents, getting to know them and all that makes them smile!
The SCO team has great teamwork and is more like family! It’s a wonderful place to spend my time and is like my home away from home.
I was born and raised in Nashville. I have been married for three years and we have a precious one-year-old little boy named Rhett. We love being outdoors, hunting, working out, and doing toddler things!
